I recommend taking both Geela and Cordelia in this fight since your allies will be suffering a lot of damage. The Goddess moves slowly but can defeat a single ally in one hit, so healing items are imperative. Killing off the Hyantian soldiers, then using allies to take out the Automatons, and sending one of two units to take care of the Hierophant will grant you victory in this battle. Remember, to summon more Automatons costs three TP, which means she cannot cast the Divine Punishment ability, which actually might save your life. By reducing the Automatons numbers, the Hierophant will spend her TP to summon more. I really recommend killing off the mages and the Automatons first, especially the Automatons. Thankfully, the Hyzantian Battlemages are positioned closer to the Hierophant in the back of the battle map so it may take some time for them to reach you. This spell hurts and can also paralyze an ally. Thunderbird costs three TP to cast and deals lightning-type magic damage to a single enemy, and lowers their resistance to lightning damage for three turns. The Hyzantian Elite Battlemage can cast a spell called Thunderbird. Last Resort is their passive ability that will deal area of effect damage to allies standing close to the Automaton upon defeat, so be careful when you choose to slay any Automaton enemies. It's also important to note that killing an Automaton will active Last Resort. You can safely position him and destroy the Automaton's from afar with his normal attacks.

Once again, I recommend bringing Archibald since his movement is slow but he deals devastating damage the further away he is from an enemy unit and there isn't much room to move around in this battle anyway. The Hyzantian soldiers will try to come around to the left and you need Serenoa there to deal with them before they can reach any mages you have. Position Erador in the front and Serenoa to the left. Enemies: The Hierophant, Hyzantian Blade x1, Hyzantian Elite Blade x1, Hyzantian Cavalry x2, Hyzantian Battlemage x2, Hyzantian Elite Battlemage x1, Hyzantian Elite Healer, Automaton 圆.Don't bother trying to inflict status ailments on her since the Resist All passive makes her immune to all status ailments. The greater her TP, the greater the damage boost. It's also important to note her passive ability, TP to Damage that will make her abilities do more damage the more TP she has stored (this is why Divine Punishment hurts so much). However, she also has a Charge TP ability that will restore one TP per turn. She will summon these dolls randomly throughout the fight and this ability will consume three TP. Thankfully, this spell costs four TP it will take a few turns for her to charge up enough TP to cast this spell.Īt the beginning of the battle she will cast Pull Strings to summon several dolls to fight for her.

Whatever you do, do not group your allies in to one area where she can defeat you all at once. At the very beginning of this battle, the Hierophant will cast her Divine Punishment spell which can easily destroy your entire team.

In the Hyzante City Streets, Serenoa and his allies meet The Goddess for the first time. Any spare coin you have available should be used at the item shop for recovery items, purchasing accessories, and upgrading any units you plan to take into the battle ahead. The recommended level for this battle is level 33 and the previous battle in Chapter 19 - Wheresoever Passions Lead was recommended at level 31, so you may need to stop at the tavern to participate in a few mock battles.
